Graphing Calculator 3D Plot 2D Equations

This page explains how to plot a 2D equation in Graphing Calculator 3D.

Steps:

  1. Change the graph type from the "3D" (default) to "2D".
  2. Type in your equation.

Examples:

Here are some explicit and implicit 2D equations you can type in the program:

  • y=x^2
  • y=1+sin(x)
  • x=2
  • x^2+y^2=3^2

Optional Steps:

  • Click on "Override Default Range" to limit the x and y range.
  • Change the resolution to increase or decrease the number of points calculated and displayed in table of values.
  • Click on any row in the table of value to see its exact point on the graph.
  • Change draw style from "Lines" to "Points".
  • Change the color of graph.
